Digital Application Of Slag Pot Manufacturing

1. Slag pot is an important tool for steel production, which has the characteristics of large volume, heavy weight and long production period. In order to ensure the success of one-time manufacturing and control the production cost, it is necessary to carry out detailed technical analysis and determine the manufacturing process before manufacturing. The two-dimensional drawings are not visual, which is not convenient for multi department personnel communication and affects work efficiency. By using the digital modeling technology and 3D printing of 3D CAD, the slag pot with the size of several meters and the weight of several tens of tons can be printed into a model which is easy to carry and communicate, so as to visual understand the solid shape of slag pot and facilitate the technical discussion and communication.
 

2. ANSYS and Autodesk software are used to simulate and analyze the temperature and stress of slag pot, so as to make the temperature of slag pot evenly distributed and avoid stress concentration, so as to adjust the design structure of slag pot more reasonable.
 

3. ProCAST and Magma software are used to simulate the casting process of slag pot, so as to prevent casting defects in slag pot and make it compact in structure and good in mechanical properties.
4. In the next step, we are going to use software simulation in the slag pot heat treatment process, so that the whole process of slag pot manufacturing can form a digital chain.
We will accumulate the number of design, manufacture and use of slag pot, so that the digital manufacturing of slag pot can form a database, control the quality more accurately, predict the service life of slag pot accurately, which is more conducive to the optimization of slag pot manufacture and use.
